This outsole in this footwear is made to be electric shock resistant according to the ASTM F2413-18 which requires to be electrically shock resistant to be capable to withstand the application of 18,000 V (Root Mean Square [rms]) at 60 Hz for 1 minute with no current flow or leakage current in excess of 1.0 MA under dry conditions and as per the specification the outsole can provide a secondary source of electrical hazard protection to the wearer against the hazards by stepping on live electrical circuits, electrically energised conductors, parts or apparatus under dry conditions. The footwear might lose its EH property if it is excessively worn or subject to humidity or met with any accident. To keep the footwear in EH condition, it is important to keep it well maintained, dry and to periodically test it using the specified equipment for above specification. It is important to wear the primary protective equipment where there is a need to reduce the electrical shock.
